Evangelismos Special School

At Evangelismos Special School, our volunteers recently took part in an inspiring project following the school's recent wall painting.

With a spirit of dedication and creativity, our team gathered to infuse vibrant drawings onto these freshly painted walls, aiming to bring an abundance of color and joy into the students' everyday experience.

What began as a simple task evolved into a heartwarming and memorable journey for our dedicated volunteers.

Each stroke of paint was not merely a mark on the wall but a contribution to a brighter and more joyful environment for the children.

It was definitely a very colourful day!

Blood Donation

Blood Donation at PwC is a source of immense pride for our employees, showcasing their selfless commitment to making a positive impact.

Witnessing the eagerness of our people to contribute the invaluable gift of life is truly heartening. We are thrilled to announce the successful completion of yet another blood donation drive, a testament to our collective dedication to the well-being of others.

Together, we continue to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those in need.

CopsCats

A heartwarming experience, where our volunteers watched an insightful presentation by the owners of this dedicated charity, discovering daily challenges faced, the impactful work accomplished, and the inspiring vision for the future.

Our people also had the opportunity to meet and play with the adorable cats and kittens.

Alkionides Charity

Volunteering Week took on a delightful twist as our volunteers united in the true spirit of giving.

Together, they engaged in a heartwarming activity—creating kourabiedes to be sold at Christmas bazaars hosted by Alkionides for charity.

In a harmonious collaboration, our volunteers embraced the joy of giving back. The sweet aroma of kourabiedes filled the air as they worked together through each step of the baking process. From ingredient selection to shaping and baking, every moment was infused with warmth and camaraderie.

The culmination of our efforts will be witnessed at the Christmas bazaars hosted by Alkionides, where these homemade treats will be made available to the community.

The proceeds from the sales will contribute directly to Alkionides' charitable initiatives, amplifying the impact of our collective generosity.

Our dedicated volunteers brought joy to the children at Larnaca General Hospital!

Our goal was to brighten the children's days and improve their overall wellbeing during their hospital stay by setting up a library filled with books in both English and Greek, catering to children and young adults aged 0-18, as well as their caregivers. We also enhanced the pediatric game room with fun and engaging games, along with educational activities, to provide a stimulating environment for the children.

Our Volunteers Danced Their Way to charity at the Move and Groove: Charity Zumba Party!

Our amazing volunteers danced their way into the fundraiser, bringing vibrant energy and community spirit to the event. Together, we raised vital funds for local charities that are making a real difference.

Farm House Aradippou

A day of joy & purpose!

During our volunteering days, our people had the incredible opportunity to be part of a heartwarming volunteering activity at the Farm House in Aradippou

We met and spent time interacting with the rescued animals, feeding them, cleaning the area they live beautifying their surroundings and creating a greenhouse to support their nutrition needs.

It was a beautiful reminder of the simple pleasures of connecting with nature and our fellow creatures!

2nd Chance Dogs & Dog Valley Rescue Center

A day filled with with wagging tails, heartfelt connections, and a deep sense of purpose as we volunteers, gathered at the 2nd Chance Dogs shelter in Nicosia and Dog Valley Rescue Center in Limassol!

We learned about the organisation's mission & vision and tips about our dog's behavior!

Then, the real magic happened... we met and played with our four-legged friends and took them for walks, making them more sociable and of course... adoptable!

Cyprus Red Cross

Our volunteers played a crucial role in sorting out the donations collected from the community. This hands-on involvement ensured that the donated items were organized efficiently, facilitating the Red Cross's ability to distribute them effectively to those in need.

Additionally, our team undertook the task of creating Christmas care packages for the Red Cross to donate to underserved families. These thoughtfully curated packages not only contribute to the festive spirit but also serve as a relief to the families.

Together, we strive to make a positive impact and bring joy to those in need during the holiday season.

Items Collection for SPAVO & Adopt-a-Family

The PwC Foundation demonstrated its commitment to fostering a safe and supportive community by organizing collection days in for SPAVO and Adopt-a-Family.

These initiatives took place on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at the Nicosia offices and continued on Wednesday, December 4, in the Limassol offices.

During these collection days, PwC employees came together to gather essential items that could make a significant difference in supporting individuals affected by domestic violence as well as Christmas bring presents for children from families with limited resources..

Together, these efforts help create a safer and inclusive environment for those who may be facing challenges within their families, emphasizing the importance of community engagement in fostering positive change.

Cleaning the Agiou Demetriou Park

Engaging in community service, PwC Foundation took a meaningful step by organizing a park cleaning initiative next  to a children's hospital. The purpose was not just to tidy up the surroundings but to create a welcoming and uplifting environment for the young patients and their families.

Together, we meticulously cleaned and beautified the park, ensuring a safe and pleasant space for children to enjoy a breath of fresh air during their time at the hospital.

This act of service extends beyond mere cleanliness; it speaks to our desire to contribute to the well-being of the community. By creating a cleaner and more vibrant park, we hope to provide a small but significant source of comfort and joy for the children and their families during challenging times.

PwC remains dedicated to making a positive difference in the lives of those we serve, fostering a sense of care and community.
