Education

At PwC Cyprus Foundation, we see education as the key to unlocking both personal and societal success. We're dedicated to offering fair opportunities for students to grow their creative talents and essential life skills.

Our initiatives include sponsoring awards for outstanding students at the University of Cyprus, University of Nicosia, Frederick, and other educational institutions across Cyprus.

CIM-Cyprus Business School, in partnership with PwC Cyprus, offers a unique chance to learn through the BA (Hons) Accounting & Finance program. Since 1978, CIM has evolved into a full-fledged business school, delivering a range of courses in marketing, business, accounting, finance, and beyond.

Our collaboration with CIM-Cyprus Business School enhances the program by combining hands-on work experience with academic learning.

PwC Foundation opens doors to future careers.

Our programme is designed to ignite curiosity and guide students in exploring future careers. Upon arrival, students are warmly welcomed by our Experience Center team and meet Sophia, our AI assistant, at the hologram stage. Through a dynamic presentation, they learn about the EC’s philosophy and values, discovering how our team uses emerging technologies—like digital twins—to transform customer experiences and drive business change.

The PwC Foundation proudly supports academic excellence by offering financial awards to outstanding university students across Cyprus. Our initiative recognizes and rewards students who demonstrate exceptional academic performance, empowering the next generation of leaders and professionals.

Through this program, we aim to foster educational advancement and contribute to the growth and development of talented individuals in Cyprus.

March 2026

This year’s Global Money Week theme, “Smart Money Talks”, highlights the importance of empowering young people to openly discuss financial matters, ask questions and seek guidance from knowledgeable and trusted sources. Through education and dialogue, the initiative aims to strengthen young people’s confidence in managing their finances responsibly and making informed decisions in an increasingly complex financial environment.

Within this framework, 16 mentors from PwC Cyprus volunteered their time and expertise to deliver a 90-minute educational programme to students across primary and secondary education. The mentors introduced students to fundamental financial concepts and practical money management skills, helping them understand the importance of responsible spending, saving, planning and decision-making.

The programme was implemented nationwide, reaching 10 schools, 28 classrooms, and almost 300 students from primary schools, gymnasiums and lyceums across Cyprus.

February 2024

On 8 February, we at PwC Foundation took a significant step forward by signing a Memorandum of Understanding with the Cyprus University of Technology (CUT), strengthening our long-standing partnership.

We believe in the transformative power of education, culture, youth entrepreneurship, and volunteerism as key drivers of growth, employment, and prosperity. That's why we offer scholarships to outstanding first-year students facing economic challenges at the University of Cyprus and CUT, along with financial awards to high-achievers across various academic institutions.

Our strategic partnership with CUT is set to support their EUt+ alliance efforts—an ambitious initiative that brings together eight European universities, including CUT, to offer joint degrees as a unified European University.

We're dedicated to backing CUT and the EUt+ Alliance in areas like student mentoring, talent access, workshop and event organization, joint proposal development, and corporate social responsibility initiatives. Together, we're poised to pioneer advancements in education and technology.

June 2025

Seven remarkable students from diverse fields at the Cyprus University of Technology (TEPAK) and the University of Cyprus have been awarded scholarships by Cleo Papadopoulou, our Partner and Vice President of the PwC Foundation.

We're proud to back these talented individuals as they pursue their academic goals.

TechWeCan

The TechWeCan initiative, a collaboration between the PwC Foundation and Girls in STEAM, is designed to spark interest in emerging technologies among students aged 12 to 15. This programme aims to broaden their understanding of tech careers and equip them with the skills needed for tomorrow's challenges.

Students explore the realms of virtual reality, robotics, and artificial intelligence. Through engaging presentations, captivating videos, and hands-on activities, they deepen their knowledge and fuel their curiosity.

In the first stage, students discover how technology is applied across various sectors, including retail, food, history, education, and entertainment.

The second stage offers an immersive experience at our Experience Centre in Nicosia. Here, students interact with advanced technologies like virtual reality glasses, holograms, and augmented reality solutions. This hands-on approach helps them develop problem-solving skills and gain insights into real-world tech applications.

Since 2022, we've been working with the Girls in STEAM Academy to inspire young women by equipping them with technical skills, leadership growth, and insights into STEM.

Participants engage with STEM professionals, boosting their self-confidence, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. The program includes inspiring sessions with women leaders, coding workshops, career advice, and public speaking opportunities. Plus, it offers workshops on gender equality and empowerment, along with exclusive 'Alumni Benefits' such as job shadowing, exchange programs, and internships.

This partnership is essential for shaping the future of women leaders.
