Polina holds a bachelor’s degree in Law and Accounting from the University of London (LSE), and she is a fellow member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants in Cyprus. Polina is an accredited Coach and Mentor under the European Mentoring and Coaching council (EMCC). Currently she is one of the coaches at PwC and an accredited trainer by the HRDA.
Polina started her professional career as a trainee accountant in the tax department of one of the big four accountancy firms in Cyprus and has been teaching professional courses in Cyprus and overseas for more than 20 years. Her main area of specialization is Taxation (UK and Cyprus Taxation) and for the time being she is teaching Taxation for all levels of the ICAEW and ACCA qualification.
From January 1997 until August 2016 she worked for the Professional Studies Department of Cyprus College and from January 2012 until June 2013 on a part-time basis for the University for Cyprus teaching Principles of Taxation for the Business Administration Department. Since September 2016 she has been working with PwC’s Academy Cyprus.
She has been delivering open and in-house seminars to clients as well as internal training to PwC’s colleagues. She has also been teaching the ICPAC Cyprus Taxation course to qualified Accountants for several years. Polina is the author of the Cyprus Taxation and Advanced Taxation books for the ACCA and ICPAC Aptitude test examination in cooperation with ICPAC. The Cyprus Tax books have been approved by the ACCA and its examining team.
