PwC’s Trainee Accountants have once again achieved worldwide distinctions in the December 2015 examinations of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).
More specifically, Sofia Papageorgiou achieved joint first place worldwide in the “Audit & Assurance” examination of the ICAEW and was awarded the “Watts Prize”.
Additionally, in the ACCA examinations, Panagiotis Tryfonos achieved eighth place worldwide and first place in Cyprus in “Financial Management”, Kyrylo Tarnopolskyi and Alexey Vorobyev achieved first place in Cyprus in “Financial Reporting”, while the latter also achieved first place in Cyprus in “Audit & Assurance”. Furthermore, Nicholas T. Christoforou and Sergiu Hariton achieved first place in Cyprus in “Business Analysis” and “Advanced Financial Management” respectively.
During a ceremony organised to honour the above trainees, they were presented with a recognition award by Evgenios Evgeniou, CEO of PwC Cyprus and Philippos Soseilos, Head of Human Capital, who emphasized the organisation’s commitment to continue offering the highest level of training, as well as a working environment where people are motivated to perform to the best of their capabilities.
