The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) hosted on 22 November, a conference entitled “Reshaping the hospitality industry – Challenges and opportunities for Cypriot SMEs”. The conference focused on Cyprus-based, hospitality-oriented small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that wish to gain further insight into worldwide industry trends and parameters affecting their businesses.
Our Partner, in charge of Hospitality & Leisure Philippos Soseilos, delivered a presentation on the global trends and developments in the industry. Among the speakers also were EBRD experts; Anna Filipova, Brian Ballingall and George Maltezos, from Cyprus and London, Angelos Loizou, Chairman of the Cyprus TourismOrganisation (CTO), George Michaelides, President of the Cyprus Association for Cultural and Special Interest Tourism and other academics and experts specialised in the hospitality industry.
The conference falls within the framework of “Advice for Small Businesses” (ASB), a three-year programme implemented since May 2017 by the Ministry of Energy, Commerce, Industry and Tourism and the EBRD to support Cypriot small businesses in improving their competitiveness, strengthening their performance and boosting their growth.
