Start your journey of becoming a Chartered Financial Analyst under a fully sponsored training scheme.

What you need to know

To qualify as a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) with the CFA Institute you will be offered an employment contract with PwC and undertake a four (4) year training programme, under a five (5) year training contract. It takes three (3) years to complete the CFA Programme (3 levels of exams) and 4 years full time verified investment work experience to qualify as a Chartered Financial Analyst. Upon completion of the five (5) year period, the employment contract remains in effect. 


We will sponsor your journey of becoming a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). As part of your training contract, the following expenses will be fully covered by PwC:

  • Tuition fees, material and examination fees (for the first attempt of each examination)

In addition to the above you will get:

When to apply

The online application process commences in June each year. It is highly recommended that candidates apply one year before graduation as this scheme is very competitive.

Each year, the Employment and Training Agreement commences in September. 

Course method

According to the designated College, you will participate in classroom and/or online courses for Level I, Level II and Level III. 

CFA membership 

In order to obtain the CFA membership, you must successfully complete the following:

  • CFA Program (3 Levels of exams) 

  • 4 years full-time verified investment work experience in one of the following PwC Departments - Lines of Service:

    • Investment Services - Tax & Legal

    • Fund Services - Tax & Legal

    • International Private Clients - Tax & Legal

    • Deals - Advisory

    • Risk, Compliance and Regulation - Advisory

Exam Levels 

Each Exam Level examines the same topics but at a different degree at each level. The topics covered are the following: 

  1. Ethical and Professional Standards

  2. Quantitative Methods

  3. Economics

  4. Financial Reporting and Analysis

  5. Corporate Finance

  6. Equity Investments

  7. Fixed Income

  8. Derivatives

  9. Alternative Investments

  10. Portfolio Management and Wealth Planning

Academic Background

  • Be an undergraduate university student, in any field of study

  • Expect to graduate from university with a minimum grade as follows:

    • University of Cyprus 7,5/10

    • Other local Universities 3,33/4

    • Greek Universities 7,5/10  

    • UK Universities 2:1 (i.e. 60-69%)

    • US Universities 3,33/4 

  • Fluency in English

  • Fluency in Greek will be considered an advantage

  • Strong IT Skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Team oriented

  • Commercially aware
