Accounting Consulting Services (ACS) - Cyprus
Our team provides support and guidance both internally (to Assurance, Global Compliance and Tax teams) and externally in relation to the accounting treatment of specific transactions (i.e. treatment of complex financial instruments, business combinations, lease classifications etc); and perform review of financial statements for compliance to International Financial Reporting Standards.
Two members of the team (Tasos N Nolas and Anna G Loizou) are also part of the Global PwC ACS team specialising in the financial instruments and business combinations. The Global ACS team is responsible to global consistent application of IFRSs and the development of IFRS training material and publications such as the PwC - Manual of Accounting.

Tasos Nolas

Biography:
Tasos N Nolas is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Cyprus.
He is the Accounting Consulting Services (ACS) leader in Cyprus and a PwC Global ACS partner. He is a member of the global PwC financial instruments technical team and the Leader of PricewaterhouseCoopers Global Real Estate Industry Accounting Group (IAG). He spent two years in PricewaterhouseCoopers Global ACS central team in London where he has been involved in preparing and presenting training events; drafting of publications and comment letter to the standard setters; IFRS financial statements reviews and advise on IFRS financial instruments issues. He is involved in numerous internal and external IFRS training events in Cyprus and abroad and often prepares articles for publication in the local press.
Mr Nolas is also working as assurance engagement leader on publicly listed and private clients across the financial services, shipping, tourism and real estate sectors. Mr Nolas has served as a member of the Board of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Cyprus.
George Kazamias

Biography:
George Kazamias is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Cyprus. He joined PricewaterhouseCoopers in Cyprus in 1999, qualified as a chartered accountant in 2002 and became a Partner of the Cyprus firm in 2010. Mr Kazamias is a member of the firm’s Cyprus Accounting Consulting Services and is involved in IFRS financial statement reviews, IFRS consultations and training specialising in the area of financial instruments.
Mr Kazamias has been an instructor in a number of external and internal seminars on IFRS matters and he participates in PwC conferences in relation to banking industry matters. Mr Kazamias is working as assurance engagement leader and he is based in the Nicosia office. George has extensive assurance experience with a number of high profile clients in the financial services sector, mainly in the banking, investment management and real estate industries.
Mr Kazamias has been a member of the Accounting Standards Committee of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Cyprus for the past seven years.
Achilleas Chrysanthou

Biography:
Achilleas Chrysanthou qualified as a chartered accountant in the UK and joined the Cyprus office of PricewaterhouseCoopers in 1984.He became a director of the Cyprus firm in 1999 and he is based in the Nicosia office. Mr Chrysanthou has wide knowledge and experience in the audit of public listed and private companies across all industry sectors with specialisation in the financial services/insurance sector. Mr Chrysanthou is a member of the firm’s Accounting Consulting Services (ACS) team and he is also involved with internal and external IFRS training events and courses.
Anna Loizou

Biography:
Anna started her career with PwC in 1999. She is a member of PwC’s Global Accounting Consulting Services (ACS) community, specialising in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRSs) related issues on business combinations and a member of the Cyprus ACS services.
She has been an instructor on a number of seminars on IFRSs. Anna has extensive assurance experience with a number of high profile clients in the financial services sector, mainly in the banking and investment management industries.
Anna holds an MA (Honors) in Economics from King’s College, University of Cambridge and she is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
